FKO is a weapons manufacturer responsible for a number of handgun, assault rifle, and machine gun designs that see widespread use by all sides of the current conflict, particularly the Federation military. FKO is not a member of the 17-member Consortium of mega-corporations, and it may be because of this that a number of rival mega-corporation manufacturers, such as Vindico and Croon, are constantly objecting to the use of FKO weaponry by the Federal military. FKO seems to share a particularly bitter rivalry with Croon, with many of FKO's designs, such as the Black Crow and Sulfatum, being created specifically to compete with Croon's own designs. Croon for its part is vehemently opposed to the popularity of FKO weapons among Federal soldiers and has made attempts to have FKO weapons replaced or banned within the Federal military.
