The armory allows you to equip available shotgun weapon and ammo types as well as put them in your inventory.
Shotguns are weapons that shoot large gauge cartridges full of pellets (shot) designed to excel in close quarters. Due to the lack of penetration of pellets, all shotguns lack Armor Piercing capabilities.
The distance the shot travels and the cone in which they spread out determine how many pellets hit. Since damage is based on each pellet hitting, these weapons lack the High Damage attribute despite having high damage potential, especially at closer ranges with tight spread and headshots.
